Trakehner mare GP breeding program - Wrong purchase - sounds stupid, but in fact she is not in the right place here... Ma Princess Royale, born 06.06.2011 at the Trakehner stud Lindenhof in 54424 Gielert, was registered with the Trakehner Breeding Association (Studbook 1) and most recently with the ZSAA. The two foals registered there were each awarded a 2-star premium. According to the previous owner, she lets the stallion through well. I bought her as a broodmare for my thoroughbred Arabian stallion Amal Duchan. However, I didn't expect that she would have to be sedated AND tied up for examination, even though she already had foals... had to be sedated AND tied up. When I then spoke to the previous owner on the phone, she was quite surprised that the vet was only ever on the horse with slippers, so nothing was needed... However, she was only ever inseminated. Natural jumping with my stallion? To be honest, I don't dare. I'm not that experienced a breeder. I also don't have the level of examination required for this otherwise sociable lady. Due to her GP entry, it would actually be a shame if she wasn't covered by a Trakehner. She has a good foundation and great forward movement from the shoulder. A swab test was carried out last year (negative), but we didn't try to cover her after all.
