Here are the most important tips: * Find out about the horse on offer in advance * Do I have a selection of different horses to look at and try out? * Is it possible to try out the horse in a riding arena or indoor arena? * Be careful with offers near the border - the horses are usually stabled in a backyard on the other side of the border (Hungary). A lot is promised here and little is kept. * Am I buying privately or commercially? Do I have a warranty or right of exchange? * Do I get current riding videos? * Be careful when horses are offered cheaply because they were injured or have not been ridden. * Who is the seller? * Beware of sellers who sell horses, dogs, cats, pigs, fish or antiques.
