Due to my physical illness, I have to part with my Fuego with a heavy heart.
He is a real treasure in daily handling and has nerves of steel. Whether farrier, grooming area, grazing, going for a walk, driving the trailer, worming, vaccinating, washing area, .... everything is completely uncomplicated with him! He always seeks closeness to people and with his funny, inquisitive nature it is always a pleasure to be with him and to work with him. His curiosity means that everything is examined and explored. You can't avoid a horse kiss from him!
Under the saddle he is temperamental (typically Spanish), but can be handled well by experienced riders. This makes his work all the more enjoyable. Nevertheless, he is not a beginner's horse. Fuego is easy to ride, you usually just have to think about it and he does it.
He was born in Spain in 2015 and was lovingly and professionally broken in here in Austria. His current level of training is L/M: - outside canter - all lateral movements - transitions - Reversing (trotting/cantering from this) - first piaffe steps - Change preparation started - Pirouette started
He is particularly happy to be ridden off-road, he is used to being ridden alone but also works well in groups as he is generally a very compatible horse. He is also used to a dog running alongside while he is riding. If there is a stream or a place for the horse to swim nearby, he knows that too - and loves it.
Very well-behaved in "road traffic": - Not afraid of cars, motorcycles, buses, etc. - Cyclists, baby carriages - no problem at all - Screaming, running children - remains calm
In general, everything that is new is looked at and inspected until it is understandable. If treats are involved, he is up for anything anyway.
I have also started free work with him, he learns very quickly and shows great interest in it!
