Oldenburg show jumping mare looking for a new home - It is with a heavy heart that I am selling my 14-year-old mare, Zaricca. Zaricca is a mare with a strong personality who is extremely eager to work. She is not a horse suited for many different riders. She competed in show jumping up to Class A, after which she was ridden in a riding school for many years. I took her on two years ago. She’s used to being stabled, but since June she’s been in an open stable, which has been very, very good for her mentally; physically, however, she’s stressed but is slowly adjusting to this type of housing. She likely has early-stage osteoarthritis, though this doesn’t significantly limit her. Not at all during the summer; in the colder months, she needs a good warm-up and a blanket for her back. She enjoys any kind of work, especially when there’s plenty of variety and mental stimulation. I don’t see her competing in shows anymore, but she still really enjoys a few small jumps. Additional key details: - Regular visits to the osteopath - Annual dental care - Vaccinated - Will load onto a trailer - Enjoys trail riding - Tends to hold a high rank in the herd
Zaricca is in training 6 days a week; unfortunately, due to my current health, I can no longer meet her needs, which is why I’m selling her.
