I bought the saddle new and only used it used it very little because my horse often had longer breaks from riding due to back problems. I switched to a baroque saddle 1 year ago. It was mounted on a New-Forrest 1.42 m.
The Sommer/Remos saddle is stored dry and well protected in a smoke-free household.
