Top spot for a Konik - Things often turn out differently than expected... Unfortunately, I’m looking for a new home for my beloved pony as a companion horse and am making him available. An open stable is a must—he’s used to and needs freedom, not confinement! A large private stall with an adjoining paddock would be another option worth discussing. Key details: He’s prone to weight gain; no 24/7 access to feed unless you work with him daily. He’s had laminitis twice already; X-rays are available. With good feed management and exercise, his metabolism is less affected. That’s why I’ve made some changes, and things are working out well now. He gets along well in a herd with several horses—that doesn’t stress him out. A group of two would be great for him. Koniks are a bit different, so you should familiarize yourself with the breed or already have experience with them. He loves his humans, is affectionate, smart, and always wants to please. I’m reluctant to give him up because he’ll surely miss his buddy—so this isn’t a fire sale, and he’ll only go to the best home!! Pictures available upon request!
