Rehabox Open-Stall Paddock Box for a Small Mare - We currently have space available for a pair to be stabled with our mare. The stable is located in Bergkamen, on the border with Kamen and Hamm.
The mare should have the following characteristics: - Medium or low rank - Easy to feed and a fast eater - Height up to approx. 150 cm
The facility offers: - a 20 x 40 illuminated riding arena - a barn for storing feed and equipment - wood chips as bedding - Running, frost-free water - Hay and straw as roughage - During the day, an open stable with a paved area and a paddock - At night, a separate paddock stall with the option for individual feeding - Hourly access to pasture
We are a small stable community and share feeding and mucking-out duties among ourselves, so it’s not necessary to be at the stable every day. Currently, this would amount to 3.5 mucking-out shifts and 3 feeding shifts. We have no restricted stable hours. You are free to choose your own trainer, veterinarian, therapist, and farrier. We’d love to have someone who’s willing to pitch in from time to time to help optimize the living conditions for our horses. It’s also possible to keep the new mare in isolation during her rehabilitation period and only introduce her to the herd once she’s recovered.
A security deposit equal to one month’s rent must be paid upon moving in. If you’re willing to take on additional duties or tasks, the price is negotiable.
