Private stable has 2 boxes free - I own a well-maintained private stable with a total of 4 boxes (suitable for horses up to approx. 1.60 m height) and am looking for two new roommates for my small stable.
What I offer: - Facilities: Small riding arena, paved paddock and large pasture areas. - Comfort: Tack room, washing area, covered grooming area and a toilet are available. - Stabling: In summer, the horses are outside 24/7. In winter they are in the paddock during the day and in the stable at night. - Location: Wülfrath-Aprath, in the immediate vicinity of Gut Hülsen (approx. 3 min. walk), where riding lessons can be taken. Beautiful riding area is also available.
Stable life & costs: The basic monthly rent is 210 euros. This includes: - Accommodation, water and electricity. - Fence costs, pasture maintenance (fertilizing/reseeding), manure disposal and use of riding arena and toilet.
Additional costs: Everyone organizes and pays for their own feed and bedding (collective orders are possible). - Bedding: As I have a horse with asthma, we currently use linen straw (dust-free, low manure volume, approx. 6.50 €/bale). Other dust-free bedding is possible by arrangement. I need one per stable per week for bedding. - Hay/haylage: I feed a very high-quality, dry haylage (ideal for allergy sufferers). Here everyone can decide individually or join in (I need 12 round bales delivered for my 2 horses for the winter season October to March).
In summer, you save on hay and bedding costs for the most part, as the horses are outside and have enough meadow available.
Stable work: There are daily chores in winter: Turning out, mucking stalls, mucking out paddocks and filling up with water. We can divide these tasks between us. Alternatively, I can step in for an extra charge. In summer, it's usually enough to look after the horse once a day. I would always be there once a day (except on vacation). Depending on how many people there are (grooming/ riding participation) the work is done quickly.
Who we are & who we are looking for: We currently have two very well-behaved, low-ranking geldings (8 and 15 years old, approx. 1.66 tall). I am looking for two lovely horses or ponies that are also rather low-ranking. Best suited for leisure riders or retired horses. Ideal would be someone who brings two horses, or two friends who would like to move in together. However, individual inquiries are also welcome!
