Private open stable / paddock trail for gelding || steamed hay - 32699 | Private self-catering open stable | small herd of geldings | steamed hay
On 01.07. or 01.08. I am offering a place for a socially acceptable gelding. Our small, private open stable is located on our farm near Bremke in Extertal - quiet, close to nature and run with a lot of passion.
🐴 What is currently available: - approx. 5,000 m² partially paved winter area with generously covered round bale hay rack, 2nd planned for winter - approx. 70 m² stable with lying area, accessible at all times - High-quality hay freely available in winter (in the long term, possibly time-controlled - depending on movement & feed condition) - small quantities of alfalfa hay from the drying plant as required (especially during the steaming period for protein balance) and straw - Professional steaming of whole round bales (front loader available, approx. January-May as required) - Summer pastures (approx. 3+ ha), accessible via long trail - automatically opening pasture gate to assist with slow grazing on & off - Over 1 km of bridle path along the pastures - Riding area directly from the farm - Area for ground work - Dry grooming area in the old barn or outside incl. washing facilities - frost-free drinking trough with trace heating and filtered water - Various natural mineral stones without synthetic additives
A riding arena nearby can be used by arrangement. (≈15min walk)

🌿 Our approach:
A constantly evolving paddock trail concept that combines movement, tranquillity and natural stimuli.
The horses should move as much as possible on their own, use different surfaces, eat slowly and experience a varied daily routine.
This includes, among other things:
- the longest possible walking routes in summer and winter - Structured areas with different areas - Planting and deadwood hedges for nibbling as a supplement to hay feeding - Slow feed changes & adapted feeding - Focus on horses with sensitive or stressed metabolisms
The pastures are deliberately used in rotation - not eaten bare.
In the long term, the aim is to create a harmonious, small herd with a maximum of 8 horses.
No continuous stabling, no stress - just space, peace, good feed and horses that are really allowed to arrive.
⸻
🤝 What is important to us: - Only geldings, no shoeing, very well socialized - Integration only at pasture time (no later than the beginning of September) - Fair distribution of all work that arises (feeding, mucking out, area maintenance etc.) - we are not a boarding stable - Reliability, honesty & thinking along are absolute prerequisites
Hay and other consumables are organized and purchased together. It's not about "hiring", but about taking responsibility together and offering our horses really good care. A lot of things can be easily managed with our helpers - so don't be shy 😄
⸻
🏡 Who we are looking for:
A human-horse team that - are honest, responsible and reliable contributors - enjoys good husbandry & genuine companionship - are looking for a permanent home, not a temporary place - is a good fit for us both as a person and as a horse
The stable is run according to a fixed, well thought-out husbandry concept. It is important to us that this concept is not perceived as a compromise, but as a conscious decision. Only if husbandry, everyday life and values really match can something good and lasting be created here in the long term.
This home for our horses is a project close to our hearts - and we are happy to share it with people who feel the same way.
If this appeals to you, we look forward to hearing about you and your horse 📬
