Open stable | gelding | steamed hay - Open stable space in a private, small owner community - long-term, managed with heart & mind

We have two places available for socially compatible geldings in our small, private self-catering open stable near Bremke in Extertal.

We bought the idyllically situated remaining farm at the end of 2024 - much is already there, much is under construction.

- Approx. 3000 square meters partially paved winter paddock
- Fixed stable with forest floor bedding
- 24/7 access to good hay in spacious covered hay rack
- From fall: professional hay steaming of whole round bales, tractor available
- Optimal hay storage
- Summer pastures on approx. 3 ha, accessible via a long trail
- Automatically opening pasture gate for gentle grazing
- Riding trail over 1 km long around our pastures
- Riding out from the farm
- Grass area for ground work
- Saddle locker area available
- Grooming area in the dry (Dehle of the old Leibzucht) or in the sun with shower facilities at the stable
- From fall: frost-free water trough with filtered water

Our aim is a well thought-out paddock trail concept with:
- the longest possible walkways on 0.5 ha winter paddock
- Planting for nibbling & as a hay supplement
- Mineral bar with natural raw stones, for intuitive supply
- Round pen planned
- Grooming & washing area idyllically located by the stream behind the Leibzucht
And much more.

The pastures are used sensibly in rotation, not eaten bare - with slow grazing on and off, supported by our automatic grazing gate.

What is important to us:
- Only geldings, no shoeing at the rear, well socialized
- Integration only at grazing time
- All work (feeding, mucking out, area maintenance etc.) is shared fairly. Individual arrangements possible
- Reliability, honesty and cooperation are prerequisites

Where the journey is going:
In the long term, a harmonious, small herd with a maximum of 8 horses should develop here.
No more than four until next winter - the infrastructure will grow with the horses, the stable will not simply be filled up.

Who we are looking for:

A human-horse team that:
- is honest & reliable
- enjoys good husbandry & genuine companionship
- are looking for a permanent home for their horse, not the next temporary place
- is on the same wavelength with us - both human and equine
