We chose the MB Fuso Canter because of its low curb weight in its class. With a payload of around 4.5 metric tons, there’s plenty of flexibility for the body and cargo. Plus, the cab is still spacious and very well equipped. The multifunction steering wheel offers comfort almost like in a passenger car; Bluetooth hands-free system, power windows, and heated exterior mirrors are standard features. The Fuso has an automatic transmission.
In the exclusive living area, travelers will find a spacious, bright top sleeper, as well as a large seating area that can be converted into a second double bed. A kitchenette with a refrigerator, sink, and cooktop is also included, along with plenty of storage space, air conditioning, a parking heater, and satellite TV. Another highlight is the separate bathroom with a shower, a full-size toilet, a sink, and additional storage space. A passageway connects the living area to the driver’s cab.

The horses, housed in the compartment next door, are no less comfortably accommodated. The rear ramp, used for loading and unloading the four-legged passengers, features safety loading grilles and is covered with a non-slip rubber mat with vulcanized tread strips. Swiveling, padded aluminum partitions keep the horses in the correct position. An electric fan and two roof hatches ensure a constant supply of fresh air in the horse area.
