The open stable should be easy to reach by public transport. I prefer to use the bus. However, the journey by public transport should not take too long. The open stable can also be in Unna, as long as I can reach the stable by public transport on public holidays, that's fine.
I only feel comfortable at an open stable where the ponies don't have to stay in boxes, not even overnight! Basically, horses and ponies should be together with other ponies all year round and not in a box! I prefer to look after ponies that are under 1.48m. Thoroughbreds are not my thing at all. I also like senior and sick horses. I have a weakness for shetties and find Icelandic horses fascinating.
I am not interested in riding and I have no desire to ride. I enjoy working in the stable, mucking out, mucking out and stuffing hay nets. I'm only really happy when I've filled and emptied lots of muck trolleys and am dirty.
An open stable with 2-6 ponies is perfect for me, as I can adapt better to the ponies' needs there. I enjoy the sight of happy ponies happily leaning on the hay and rolling around contentedly. I really enjoy grooming and scraping out hooves, especially the care of the hooves is very important to me.
It would be nice if I had the opportunity to do ground work. I think it's important to find out what the pony likes and doesn't like. I want to take the signals seriously when the pony doesn't like something. Horsemanship is very important to me and I like alternative healing methods.
Maybe I can find a suitable grooming pony for me. There's nothing wrong with getting to know each other without obligation. But there should also be a good human fit between us.
