Independent feed consultant / ration calculation / mineral feed analysis - I have a degree in biology (Bsc and Msc) and work as an independent feed consultant for horses. My focus is on individually analyzing each horse's entire diet and optimizing it based on scientific findings.
Ration analysis/energy check: I check whether your horse's current feed ration matches its performance and requirements. This analysis is often the first step if your horse loses or gains weight unexpectedly or if you simply have the feeling that "something is not quite right".
Mineral feed check: Are you unsure whether your mineral or supplementary feed really has the optimum composition? Or you don't really know which mineral feed you should be feeding? I analyze the minerals and trace elements contained in your basic and supplementary feed and check whether important components are missing or present in excess. This is particularly helpful for problems such as poor coat, conspicuous coat changes or deficiency symptoms in the blood count.
Holistic feed advice: Here I combine the ration analysis with the mineral feed assessment. You will receive comprehensive feedback on your horse's current feeding, including a customized feed plan tailored to your horse's current situation.
In addition to horses that are severely overweight or underweight, I have experience in caring for horses with laminitis and EMS, but have also been able to achieve great success with my clients with healthy horses with coat and hoof problems. I also have experience with feed planning for sport horses and targeted feeding for muscle development.
Ideally, you already have a hay analysis and/or a blood count of your horse, which I can use as a basis. But don't worry, if you don't have this, I will base my advice on regional average values for the hay. As an independent consultant, I recommend products from different manufacturers and the owner decides in the end which one suits the horse best. Because: Tastes are different!
