The Ice-Vibe Hock Wrap gaiters from Horseware are specially made for the hock joint. They are used for treatment, prevention and or healing. The Ice-Vibe gaiters are a combination of cooling and massage therapy to treat tendon injuries. The boots can be used with or without cold packs to reduce swelling and stimulate blood circulation. To increase blood circulation to the tendons, the gaiters can stimulate with the vibrating elements before movement. This makes the tendons more elastic and reduces the risk of injury. Cooling alone, on the other hand, reduces blood circulation to prevent swelling. The massage effect removes lymphatic fluids and inflammation and stimulates healing of the injured tissue. The Ice-Vibe boots are also ideal for horses that are resting in boxes, as the vibration imitates the way a horse walks. The gaiters are adapted to the shape of the hock and thus ensure optimum freedom of movement. The cool packs are attached on the outside. The extra-long Velcro fastener ensures a secure fit.
