German Riding Pony - Tennessee ("Tenny") German riding pony Final size 148 cm chestnut, 2 white legs 9 years old Pedigree: Bred for jumping
His owner about Tenny: Our gelding was gently broken in by us at the age of 4 and has thus grown close to our hearts. He is a clever pony who learns very quickly and particularly enjoys jumping, where he sees his sphere of activity. He has never been ill, has no allergies or similar and runs barehoof (super hoof substance). He is always well-behaved when being trimmed and can be ridden on his own without any problems.
Tenny greets us with a joyful neigh when we arrive.
His rider about Tenny: I have been riding Tenny for almost 3 months. He is very eager to learn and willing to perform, stands easily in hand and on the leg. He is pleasant and soft to sit in all gaits and is particularly good in trot. His rhythm is even and he is easy to put on and take off in the gaits, lengthen his strides etc.
He pulls well at the jump and obviously enjoys it. He already jumps gymnastic rows evenly and does good cavaletti work.
He goes into the field alone or in a group. He can always be controlled and can be ridden away from other horses on his own. He is absolutely unafraid and sure-footed.
Apart from me, an advanced 14-year-old rider occasionally rides him and is able to repeat the lessons I have worked on with him. He also carries my 8-year-old daughter, a beginner rider, a few rounds in the arena. But here it is clear that such a young child will not be able to cope with him on her own in the long term, as she lacks the influence and experience to be able to call up and build on his performance.
His stable owner about Tenny Tenny is one of the most social and compatible horses I have ever had in the stable. He avoids conflicts and is friendly and open-minded. He has already been stabled with stallions, mares and geldings. He currently lives in a mixed herd of ponies and has found a best friend in our Konik gelding. He is always easy to handle on a daily basis and can be haltered and led without any problems. He can wait obediently, regardless of whether he is being fed or taken out to the paddock. He can be left alone in the stable or in the paddock without getting upset.
What we have in mind for his future: We are looking for an ambitious young rider for Tenny who is sporty and able to challenge and encourage the pony continuously. With his size, he is suitable for youngsters and adults - but he is definitely not a weight carrier. We are also not selling him purely as a children's pony, as a younger child would be unable to cope with him alone.
All obligatory show vaccinations are entered in the red passport. So you can start right away. An adapted eventing saddle can also be purchased.
We are looking for a loving partner who does not see him as a piece of sports equipment.
