Fjord gelding, Norwegian, Fjord horse, Grey dun - It is with a heavy heart that we have to part with our Fjord gelding Masou. This step is not easy for us, but for personal reasons we are giving up our private horse keeping completely. We bought Masou directly from the breeder as a foal. He initially spent two years on the breeding pasture and then came to us. Since then, he has accompanied our family and has developed into a loyal, people-oriented young horse.
Character & everyday life: Masou is very sweet, people-oriented and curious. Typical of a pony, he can sometimes be a little stubborn.
He was trained for just under two months in training where the following was practiced:
Free work (sending off, following)
"Falling Leaves" - hand changes on the ground rope
Calmness training: tarpaulins, mattresses, fluttering ribbons, seesaw, platform, rustling bag
Lunging on both hands at a walk, trot, canter, halt, change of direction, over poles, variable distances
Double lunge & classic work in hand at a walk
Saddling up & standing calmly when mounting
Leaving the yard
With the right training, Masou, like our other horse Minero, can become a reliable leisure and cross-country horse.
Health & Care:
Regular tetanus and influenza vaccinations (next tetanus vaccination in January 2026)
Deworming every three months (last on 30.11.2025)
Open stable with sand paddock and hay 24/7 (we have been taking breaks from eating for the last four weeks as he has become a little strong due to the lack of exercise)
He is in perfect health!
He doesn't show any naughtiness either, is always cooperative with the farrier and vet and also goes into the trailer.
Special features / wishes:
We are looking for a loving home, no sale to dealers or riding schools.
It would be nice if we could visit Masou occasionally, as he is part of our family.
