Cowboy Saddle, Trail Riding Saddle, Summer Saddle, Way Out West - I’m selling my Vaquero/trail riding saddle, which is in very good condition and also suitable for riders with shorter backs. It’s the DAKAR model from Way Out West and Sommer (formerly Marrakesh Vaquero). I don’t use it anymore, and it’s too good to just let it sit around.
The saddle was manufactured in June 2019 as a custom-made piece from oil-tanned leather, featuring Trekking Pro panels and embossed detailing. The saddle was developed in a collaboration between Sommersattel and Way Out West: Thanks to its large contact surface, it’s an ideal cross-country saddle that can also be used effectively in the riding arena due to its unique saddle leaf shape.
It was used on my athletic Haflinger mare (149 cm at the withers) and is also well-suited for horses with shorter backs. The saddle shows slight signs of wear but is overall in very good condition. The pommel can be adjusted by any saddler (current chamber width: 31.5).
The saddle is made of mocca-colored (brown) oil-tanned leather with brass hardware. It features rings for attaching luggage or similar items. The saddle is sold with the included fenders and stirrups; color-coordinated Baroque stirrups with matching mono stirrup leathers can be included upon request.
