The saddle features lambskin skirts that were added later to provide a large contact surface that optimally distributes the rider’s weight. This also prevents any pressure points from forming. The skirts are attached with Velcro and can be quickly padded or unpadded by the horse owner using foam inserts if the horse’s back has changed. A thicker pad or a lambskin saddlecloth is required as a saddle pad. The saddle is suitable for both dressage work and relaxed trail rides. I have always maintained the leather with high-quality greases and oils, so the saddle is in good used condition.
