4-Year-Old Lusitano Mix Mare Seeks a New Home - It is with a heavy heart that I am looking for a suitable home for my 4-year-old Lusitano mix mare, as I am unfortunately too heavy for her in the long run. Details: 4 years old, Lusitano mix; current height at the withers approx. 150 cm; regularly vaccinated against influenza and tetanus; regularly dewormed; familiar with the farrier and hoof care; she is already accustomed to a rider’s weight and walks calmly into the countryside with a companion horse or person. Walking and trotting under a rider are no problem, and she responds reliably to the reins. Out on trails, she is bold, calm, and always eager to move forward. She has not yet been ridden alone under a rider on trails. Further training should therefore be conducted calmly and with patience. She is currently housed in a free-stall barn but is also accustomed to open-stall and box housing. I see her as a great leisure or trail riding horse for a light rider who enjoys continuing to train a young horse. She has a solid foundation, a clear mind, and plenty of potential. I’m hoping to find her a loving home where she’ll have the time to continue developing. A good home is more important than price. If you’re seriously interested, I’d love to hear from you.
