Dressage girth Cinch girth Fairfax 26" 65 cm - Selling my great girth because I need it longer.
NP: 300€
This girth was the "secret weapon" of the British at the Olympic Games in London 2012! The girths from Fairfax Saddlers are the first girths to be scientifically developed with the help of pressure measurements and high-speed cameras. They were tested on the horses of the British equestrian team, among others. The result was surprisingly so good that the British Equestrian Federation asked the researchers and developers not to publish this scientific study before the Olympic Games in London 2012. The English horses did, however, run with the Fairfax girth in London - with great success, as we know.
The conclusions from these measurements are:
The punctual high pressure in the elbow area and at the sternum decreased significantly (by 76 to 98%). Furthermore, the horses were able to lift the forelimb higher (by 6 to 11%) and to step further forward with the hind limbs (by 10 to 20%) The horses were able to flex the carpal joints (by 4%) and the hocks (by 3%) more. For me, these figures clearly show that the girth has a major influence on the horse's mechanics, and not only in the trunk area. In addition, this study has shown that a well-fitting girth significantly increases the horse's well-being.
